Overview

Orbit Game is a new idea from a games start-up: a social platform where creative people turn their ideas into designs and sell them as NFT assets. We led the design team from the first brainstorming workshops through user and market research to a first MVP, designed and prototyped in Figma, and then prepared the investor pitch deck and presentation. The project is under NDA and still at the investor stage, so the name has been changed and the design screens and some details are left out.

The story

The challenge

A brand-new game concept had to become a first MVP that investors could understand: what the game stands for, who it is for, and why that market has room for it.

Our approach

We ran brainstorming workshops to pin down the game's values and features, then researched three possible audiences with surveys and interviews, alongside NFT and gaming market research. The findings shaped both the UX and, with the graphic design team, the game's visual direction.

The outcome

A first MVP, designed and prototyped in Figma for one clearly chosen audience, plus an investor pitch deck and presentation. The project is now at the investor stage and remains under NDA.

01Overview

A game where creativity becomes an asset

The idea behind Orbit Game is new: a platform where creative people design their ideas and sell them as NFT assets.

Our brief had two parts. First, design and prototype the game's first MVP. Then turn that work into an investor pitch deck and presentation.

02Workshops

Agreeing on what the game stands for

Before any screens, we led brainstorming workshops with the team to clarify the game's values and its features. Those values became the yardstick for every later design decision, from the user flows to the visual style.

03User research

Three possible audiences, one focus for the MVP

Our UX team collected both qualitative and quantitative data. We started with three potential user groups and wrote a separate survey for each one, then interviewed people from every group.

Based on what we learned, we chose to build the first MVP for everyday social media members.

  • Gamers
  • Social media influencers
  • Everyday social media members (the MVP focus)

04Market research

Finding the niche

Alongside the user research, we studied the NFT market and the games market to find the niche where the game could stand out.

05Visual direction

From research to look and feel

In parallel, we worked closely with the graphic design team to translate the research into design. Together we defined the visual side of the game so that it stays consistent with the game's values and aims.

06MVP and pitch

A Figma prototype, then the investor story

We designed and prototyped the first MVP in Figma and used it as the basis for the investor pitch deck and presentation.

To keep the team moving, we planned the work in Jira, creating the tasks and assigning them to team members.

07Under NDA

Why the screens are not shown

The project is under NDA and is currently at the stage of finding investors, so we can't publish the design itself, the real product name or some of the details. We're happy to talk through the process in a call.
